Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Reports to: Executive Director

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Program Officer to join our team in Abuja. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and evaluating programs that address critical social development challenges, particularly those affecting youth and women. This role requires a passionate individual with strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of community development in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement development programs aligned with organizational objectives, ensuring they address identified community needs.
  2. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, utilizing established frameworks and tools to measure impact.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders, including NGOs, community leaders, and government agencies, to enhance program outcomes.
  4. Prepare detailed program reports, proposals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, International Relations, or a related field. A master’s degree is an advantage.

Experience:

  • 2–5 years of program management experience, preferably within an NGO or community development setting.

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth understanding of social development challenges in Nigeria, with a focus on youth and women.
  • Proven experience in program design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management tools.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
