Job Description

KarFerry Limited is seeking an experienced Programme Director to lead and oversee the organization’s program strategy and execution. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive impactful programs, manage teams, build partnerships, and ensure effective program delivery aligned with the organization’s mission and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the organization’s overall program strategy in alignment with its mission and long-term objectives.
  • Identify and develop new program opportunities, partnerships, and funding streams to expand program impact.
  • Oversee program design to ensure relevance, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to program managers and operational teams.
  • Ensure programs are delivered on schedule, within scope, and within approved budgets.
  • Oversee annual work plans, program budgets, and performance targets.
  • Manage program budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources across multiple initiatives.
  • Support fundraising efforts by contributing to proposals, grant applications, and donor reports.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
  • Prepare program performance reports and provide strategic updates to executive leadership and the Board.
  • Ensure compliance with governance standards, organizational policies, and donor requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Public Administration, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • 10–15+ years of progressive experience in program management or related leadership roles.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale or multi-site programs, including high-value program budgets.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
  • Strong financial oversight and budgeting capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
