Job Description

O.K.I. (Nig) Limited is seeking a qualified Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of construction projects. The role involves providing technical coordination, ensuring construction activities align with approved drawings and specifications, and supporting the Project Manager in maintaining project timelines, quality standards, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the Project Manager on construction activities and project coordination
  • Review and process shop drawings, technical submittals, and construction documentation
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
  • Manage the Request for Information (RFI) process and ensure timely responses from consultants
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including As-Built drawings and Operations & Maintenance manuals
  • Assist in developing and updating the project master schedule
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and track material deliveries to ensure project milestones are achieved
  • Conduct site inspections to confirm installations align with approved designs and local building regulations
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with established safety standards and procedures
  • Support the preparation of monthly progress reports, valuations, and variation documentation
  • Track project costs and assist in monitoring budget performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 7 – 10 years of experience in construction engineering or project coordination within the construction industry
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Project, and Procore or similar project management software
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and technical documentation
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including consultants, contractors, and project teams
