Job Description
Infytel Communications Limited is seeking an experienced Project Fibre Manager to oversee fibre optic network rollout and field operations across Lagos. The role focuses on end-to-end project delivery, contractor supervision, quality assurance, and compliance with technical, safety, and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely deployment, network integrity, and proper project handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage fibre rollout projects and on-site field activities.
- Supervise trenching, ducting, blowing, splicing, and fibre testing teams to ensure work is executed to specification.
- Interpret fibre route maps, technical drawings, and network designs for accurate implementation.
- Manage contractors and vendors, ensuring quality standards are met before approvals and sign-offs.
- Review OTDR test results and ensure fibre network integrity and performance.
- Enforce HSE standards and ensure compliance with regulatory and Right of Way (ROW) requirements.
- Provide regular progress reports, track milestones, and resolve field-level technical or operational issues.
- Ensure proper documentation, as-built drawings, and structured project handover to operations teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- HND or BSc in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in fibre optic network deployment and project execution.
- Professional certifications in Fibre Optics, Project Management, or HSE are an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of fibre installation, splicing, and testing methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret fibre network drawings and route plans.
- Proven project coordination and contractor management skills.
- Good reporting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver projects within timelines.
