Project Manager (Construction)

Ascentech Services Limited is recruiting a highly experienced Project Manager to oversee large-scale construction projects in Kano. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and proven experience delivering complex construction projects within scope, budget, and timeline while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end construction projects including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution
• Monitor project progress and prepare periodic performance reports for management
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, and health and safety standards
• Manage project risks, resolve operational challenges, and implement mitigation strategies
• Oversee procurement of construction materials and equipment
• Ensure quality control and strict adherence to project specifications
• Conduct regular site inspections and stakeholder meetings
• Manage project financials, including cost control, forecasting, and budget tracking

Requirements

• Registered Civil Engineer with valid COREN certification
• Minimum of 15 years’ post-qualification experience in civil engineering
• Proven track record serving as Project Manager on major construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and regulatory standards
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong financial management and budget control expertise
• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project and Primavera
• Strong communication, documentation, and reporting skills
