Python Web (Django) Developer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Python Web Developer for a long-term engagement. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience working with the Django framework (preferred) and Flask, and be capable of working independently.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building clean, efficient Python code while proactively preventing issues related to performance, scalability, usability, and maintainability. The role focuses on developing server-side logic and building stable APIs for client-side use.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in an agile setting, so a basic understanding of frontend technologies and DevOps practices is essential.
Responsibilities

Develop clean, scalable, and efficient Python code.

Build backend components to enhance system performance and responsiveness.

Integrate UI/UX elements with server-side logic.

Conduct testing and debugging of applications.

Upgrade and enhance existing systems and features.

Implement robust security measures and ensure data protection.

Evaluate and prioritize new feature requests.

Work with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
Qualifications & Skills

A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Python developer.

Proficiency in Django (strongly preferred), and familiarity with Pyramid, FastAPI, or Flask.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
