Job Description

Handyman Daige Properties is hiring an experienced Quantity Surveyor to oversee cost management for building and civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will ensure all projects are delivered within budget and meet quality standards while collaborating with project teams, engineers, and procurement specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and produce regular financial reports.
  • Prepare tender documents, evaluate supplier bids, and negotiate contracts for cost efficiency.
  • Conduct valuations of completed work, process payment applications, and assess variation claims.
  • Identify and manage project risks through feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and construction industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as RICS or NIQS is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in construction cost management.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with high attention to detail.
