Job Description
Airtel Nigeria is hiring a Regional Account Manager to drive corporate customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth within an assigned sector. This role focuses on building strong relationships with corporate accounts, expanding product adoption, and maintaining high service standards while monitoring market and competitor activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement acquisition and retention strategies for prospective and existing corporate accounts within the assigned sector
- Conduct structured corporate visits, with a minimum of 5 visits daily and consistent weekly and monthly engagement targets
- Identify and create opportunities for Airtel’s presence within corporate organizations, including product presentations and sector-specific engagements
- Drive sales, upselling, and cross-selling of corporate products such as E1 PRI, Data Centre Services, Smart Advertising, and other enterprise solutions
- Develop and manage account development plans in line with signed service level agreements
- Maintain and update a comprehensive database of corporate customers and track top account KPIs weekly
- Monitor competitor activities, report market trends, and recommend proactive counter-strategies
- Manage customer enquiries and complaints by working closely with internal support teams to ensure timely resolution
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports on customer activities, sales performance, billing, and collections
- Support revenue assurance efforts by reducing churn, managing debt portfolios, and escalating pricing or service quality concerns
Qualifications and Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline
- 15 years’ experience in senior roles, preferably within FMCG, consumables, oil and gas, manufacturing, or telecommunications
- 10–15 years’ experience managing key or corporate accounts
- Strong product knowledge with the ability to sell value-driven solutions
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented, target-driven, and customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
