Room Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
Location: Lagos
Work Rotation: 28 x 28 (28 days on, 28 days off)
We are seeking a skilled Room Maintenance Engineer to oversee and manage maintenance activities within the Akpo Smart Room. This role requires technical expertise in maintaining oil and gas process facilities, strong operational knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day maintenance activities in the Akpo Smart Room to support ongoing and planned site activities.
- Collaborate with the maintenance planner to identify tasks suitable for a campaign-based approach during critical equipment downtime.
- Provide technical support to site maintenance teams, including reviewing Work Order (WO) backlogs and validating daily WO status in SAP (Unisup).
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed with a strong focus on reliability-centered processes and follow-up procedures.
Job Requirements:
- A first degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred; other engineering disciplines may also be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining oil and gas process facilities and equipment, including rotating, lifting, instrumentation, and electrical equipment.
- Strong knowledge of operational site activities and onshore/offshore production systems.
- Proven ability to adopt a reliability-centered approach to maintenance.
