Job Description

Mshel Homes Ltd is seeking an experienced and qualified Safety Officer to oversee health and safety practices across its construction sites and office locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enforcing compliance with safety regulations, conducting site inspections, leading trainings, and ensuring a safe work environment throughout the organization’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies in line with industry and local regulations.
  • Carry out routine site inspections and audits to identify risks and ensure compliance.
  • Organize safety training programs and toolbox talks for site workers and office staff.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; document findings and recommend corrective actions.

Job Requirements:

  • HND/BSc in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as HSE Levels 1–3, NEBOSH, or similar are an advantage.
  • 3–5 years of safety experience, preferably within construction or real estate.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian health and safety laws, and strong reporting and communication skills.
