Job Description

A skilled and detail-oriented School Accountant is needed to manage financial operations in a reputable school in Maitama, Abuja. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the school’s financial planning and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the school’s financial transactions, including budgeting, payroll, and expense tracking.
  • Prepare financial reports, statements, and tax filings in compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee tuition fee collection, invoicing, and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all financial activities.
  • Assist in auditing processes and provide financial insights to support decision-making.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a School Accountant.
  • B.Sc. in Accounting or a related field.
  • Relevant accounting certifications (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
