Job Description
A reputable development and distribution company is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant for a full-time on-site role in Lekki, Lagos. The position requires expertise in financial management, reporting, compliance, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will ensure effective receivables management, stable cash flow, and accurate financial reporting to support sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including monitoring receivables, payables, and monthly reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT and WHT filings
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team while coordinating deadlines across departments
- Implement and monitor internal controls to support compliance and audits
Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in accounting or finance, including leadership roles
- Strong background in receivables management, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software with excellent analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
