Job Description

A leading FMCG distribution company in Nigeria is seeking a skilled Senior Assistant Sales Manager to oversee and expand sales operations within the modern trade sector, particularly in Lagos and the Southwest. This role requires a results-driven professional with strong market knowledge, excellent relationship management skills, and proven success in consumer goods sales.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet growth targets in the modern trade sector
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and retail partners
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to design and implement promotional campaigns
  • Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to achieve performance objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in modern trade sales, preferably within FMCG
  • Demonstrated record of meeting sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Solid knowledge of key accounts in Nigeria’s modern trade sector
  • Leadership ability with experience in managing and motivating teams
