Job Description

Swiftlink Global Services Limited, a leading fintech company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Officer to oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic decision-making. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic financial technology environment with exposure to settlements, audits, and fintech operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and financial controls.
  • Manage settlements and reconciliations across payment channels, banks, switches, PTSPs, merchants, and agents.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, and regulatory submissions in line with IFRS.
  • Monitor cash flow, wallet balances, and liquidity positions to ensure operational stability.
  • Coordinate audits, liaise with auditors, regulators, and banking partners, and implement control measures.
  • Support payroll processing, statutory deductions, and tax filings (PAYE, VAT, WHT, etc.).
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic planning, cost optimization, and growth initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent) is mandatory.
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, preferably in fintech, banking, or payment services.
  • Strong knowledge of fintech operations, including wallets, payment processing, settlements, and reconciliations.
  • Proven experience in management accounts, board reports, and regulatory filings.
  • Hands-on experience with taxation, statutory compliance, and regulatory reporting in Nigeria.
  • Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems (Sage, Odoo, QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
