Job Description
A reputable company in the oil and gas sector is seeking to hire a qualified Senior Health, Safety & Environment Coordinator to support field operations in ensuring compliance with HSE standards and driving a strong safety culture across operational sites. This role requires an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of safety systems, audits, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the FOPS Head of Maintenance in implementing Health, Safety, and Environment standards in line with company systems and statutory requirements.
- Monitor and update HSE training requirements for all staff and contractors, ensuring compliance and reporting performance regularly.
- Conduct incident reviews, audits, and safety inspections, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and risks are adequately managed.
- Prepare detailed HSE reports, performance reviews, and support safety awareness sessions and committee meetings.
- Lead or participate in hazard studies, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness activities to ensure safe execution of operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Petroleum, or Safety Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in oil and gas (E&P), including at least 5 years in an HSE role.
- Proven knowledge of HSE engineering techniques such as HAZOP, HAZID, audits, and safety inspections.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to lead safety initiatives and foster a culture of compliance.
