Job Description
A reputable law firm based in Lekki, Lagos, is seeking to hire an experienced commercial solicitor for a senior legal position. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of solid legal expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to leverage technology in delivering high-quality legal services.
Responsibilities include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements and legal documents
- Providing sound legal advice on corporate and commercial law matters
- Representing clients in litigation processes when required
- Conducting legal research and applying relevant laws to specific issues
- Using legal software and AI tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in legal work
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5–10 years’ post-NYSC experience as a commercial solicitor, with some litigation exposure
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Proficiency in using legal tech tools and software for legal research, document automation, and workflow management
- A Second Class Upper (2:1) degree in Law is required; an SSCE Distinction in English and Literature is an added advantage
