Job Description

Nile University of Nigeria, a private multidisciplinary institution and member of Honoris United Universities since 2020, offers over 40 undergraduate and 50 postgraduate programmes across eight faculties. An opportunity is open for a highly qualified Senior Lecturer to join the Department of Political Science & International Relations in Abuja.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and seminars in Political Science & International Relations.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
  • Conduct and publish original research in reputable academic journals.
  • Contribute to departmental administration, curriculum development, and academic planning.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Political Science, International Relations, or a related field with a minimum of 6 years of teaching, research, and administrative experience.
  • At least 7 publications in reputable journals with evidence of ongoing research activity.
  • Proven record of supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and virtual teaching tools such as MS Teams.
  • Membership or affiliation with a recognized professional body.
