Qualifications Requirements
● PhD/Doctorate in Management Information Systems, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management or equivalent degree qualification in a relevant area from a recognised/ accredited university.
● Master of Science in Management Information Systems, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management degree or a related area from a recognized/accredited university.
● Bachelor of Management Information Systems, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management degree or a relevant field from a recognized/accredited University.
● A minimum of thirty-two (32 equivalent publication points as a Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow of which twenty-four (24) should be from refereed journal articles.
● Supervised at least two (2) postgraduate students.
● Attracted research funds as a Lecturer/ Research Fellow.
● Attended and contributed at academic conferences, seminars and workshops.
● Evidence of being a member of a relevant professional body.
● Evidence of leadership (administrative experience, active participation in departmental /school/university/national/international activities).
Duties and Responsibilities of Teaching Faculty
● To teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department.
● Design, develop, plan and deliver a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.
● Deliver high-quality lectures and practicals.
● Oversee clinical practice, providing students with real-world learning experiences and guidelines in hospitals or clinical settings.
● Review course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
● Collaborate with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities.
● Carry out research and write research grant proposals.
● Seek and participate in consultancies.
● Present research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
● Dissemination of research outputs.
● Provide mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
● Ensure all academic activities align with the standards of the Nursing Council of Kenya
