Job Description
Business Day Newspaper, a leading business and financial media organisation in Nigeria, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Level – Sales & Business Development Manager. This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth across multiple platforms while strengthening high-value partnerships within the corporate and public sectors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies across print, digital, events, and research offerings
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Build and sustain strong relationships with corporate organisations, government agencies, and key decision-makers
- Drive digital revenue growth through subscriptions, webinars, branded content, and integrated media solutions
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships aligned with financial literacy, inclusion, and business development goals
- Analyse market trends and performance metrics to inform strategic planning and business expansion
Requirements
- Master’s degree is an added advantage
- Minimum of 8–10+ years’ experience in sales or business development, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role
- Proven track record of multimillion-naira sales performance and revenue growth
- Strong understanding of Nigeria’s corporate landscape and media industry
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and strategic planning skills
