Job Description
A reputable construction and real estate development company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide expertise in cost management, contract administration, and project efficiency. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule while maintaining industry standards and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
- Manage project costs, conduct value engineering, and handle contract variations.
- Oversee procurement activities and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Carry out site inspections, valuations, and prepare progress reports.
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, legal requirements, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts such as FIDIC or JCT.
- Proficiency in software tools such as CostX, Candy, or advanced Excel.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Membership of a recognized professional body (e.g., NIQS, RICS) is an added advantage.
