St. Dominic Catholic Hospital, a reputable healthcare facility located in Ibadan, is seeking an experienced Senior Registered Nurse / Midwife to join its dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing and midwifery care, oversee patient management, and support the hospital’s mission of delivering compassionate healthcare services to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nursing and midwifery care to patients, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.
- Monitor patient conditions and administer appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Supervise junior nursing staff and midwives, providing guidance and ensuring professional development.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on postnatal care, breastfeeding, family planning, and other health-related matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery or a related field.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse Midwife with the relevant professional body.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Registered Nurse Midwife.
- Strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
