A reputable construction and real estate development company in Lagos is seeking a skilled Site Engineer to oversee on-site construction activities and ensure projects are delivered according to approved drawings, specifications, timelines, and safety standards. This role is ideal for a professional with strong technical knowledge and proven experience managing construction sites from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities on site to ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate and manage site workers, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project milestones.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Monitor project progress, prepare site reports, and provide updates to project managers and stakeholders.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of construction materials and equipment.
• Identify and resolve on-site technical issues promptly to avoid project delays.

Requirements

• First Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or Civil/Structural Engineering (mandatory).
• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in construction site management.
• Professional certification such as COREN, NSE, or related professional bodies.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple on-site activities simultaneously.
