Job Description
A reputable medical services company is seeking a Site Structural Engineer to oversee and coordinate structural engineering works for the Ibom International Hospital project. This role requires a results-driven professional with strong technical expertise, proven leadership, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise structural construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved designs, schedules, and safety standards.
- Review and verify structural designs, drawings, and reinforcement details for compliance with building codes and healthcare facility standards.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring timely correction of structural defects or non-conformities.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports with accuracy and timeliness.
- Support the resolution of design or construction-related structural issues to avoid project delays.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Professional registration (COREN, NSE, or equivalent) is preferred.
- 5–8 years’ site supervision experience, with at least 3 years in structural works for high-rise, healthcare, or large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000) and construction tools (AutoCAD, MS Project, Revit).
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel structures, and foundation systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
