Job Description

Electronic Payplus Limited is seeking a skilled Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain software applications within its payment technology environment. The role involves building new solutions, integrating systems with financial institutions and switches, and ensuring software applications operate efficiently in line with industry standards and best practices. The position requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver reliable payment technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement software applications in line with international software development standards.
  • Perform end-to-end software development including requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Integrate application modules with internal systems, banking platforms, switches, and other external systems.
  • Conduct integration testing with banks and third-party platforms where required.
  • Review and analyze existing systems to recommend improvements and upgrades.
  • Write clean, efficient program code based on detailed technical specifications.
  • Deploy application upgrades and fixes in collaboration with IT system administrators.
  • Monitor application performance and ensure solutions operate according to defined procedures.
  • Prepare user documentation and training manuals where necessary.
  • Conduct testing in controlled environments before solutions go live.
  • Maintain and support software applications after deployment.
  • Research and evaluate technologies to support development across multiple platforms.
  • Assess feasibility, costs, and compatibility before initiating development projects.
  • Implement strict change control procedures when modifying production applications.
  • Carry out additional assignments as directed by the Head of IT and Product Development.

Requirements

  • B.Sc or HND in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing applications using ASP.NET MVC, C#, Web API, JSON, and REST.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL database design, T-SQL, and stored procedure programming.
  • Knowledge of Entity Framework, .NET Framework, and LINQ is an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and quality in software development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
  • Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to explain business and technology processes clearly.
  • Understanding of standards and regulations related to the payment card industry is an advantage.
