Job Description

Experian, a global data and technology company, is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead high-performing engineering teams building secure, high-volume, transaction-driven applications. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, Agile delivery, and cross-functional collaboration in a fully remote environment.

Salary Range: $133,109 – $239,596
Employee Status: Regular
Time Off: Flexible Time Off (20 days)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily project activities, progress tracking, and delivery of major engineering initiatives.
  • Lead software engineering and QA teams, including code reviews, architecture decisions, and security best practices.
  • Collaborate with product, design, UI/UX, QA, and engineering teams to meet milestones and long-term roadmap goals.
  • Manage team capacity planning, SCRUM team formation, and Agile delivery processes.
  • Promote DevOps culture and coordinate with IT on deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide regular sprint and delivery updates to senior leadership.
  • Support hiring, mentoring, and performance management of engineering staff.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and oversee platform incident resolution when required.

Requirements and Qualifications

General Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in software development.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an engineering management or leadership role.
  • Strong background in Agile SCRUM methodologies and team leadership.

Technical Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft .NET, C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud solutions (IaaS, SaaS).
  • Proficiency in MS SQL Server, T-SQL, and relational database design.
  • Experience with ETL technologies such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, or React.

Preferred Experience

  • API development, microservices architecture, and container-based solutions.
  • Knowledge of modern architectural patterns and cloud-native development.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience using Entity Framework or other ORM tools.
