Solar Engineer
Job Description
A reputable organization is seeking a skilled Solar Engineer to handle the design, implementation, and maintenance of Solar PV systems and energy storage solutions. This role is ideal for a technically sound professional with strong project management experience and the ability to drive system efficiency and operational performance across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, supervise, implement, and maintain Solar PV power systems and related infrastructure
- Conduct site assessments, prepare Bills of Materials, and develop engineering designs for project execution and tenders
- Monitor and manage solar assets to reduce downtime and improve energy output
- Analyze system performance data and resolve technical issues across installations
- Work with energy storage systems including ESS and BMS for both grid-tied and off-grid solutions
- Oversee project timelines, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards and health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Lead and coordinate technical teams including electrical, mechanical, and solar engineers
- Support business development through technical input, proposals, and client engagement
- Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and communication logs for all project activities
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- MNSE certification (Member, Nigerian Society of Engineers)
- COREN registration (or in progress)
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Solar PV engineering and system deployment
- Strong knowledge of solar system design, installation, and maintenance
- Proven project management and team leadership experience
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively
