Job Description
Cedarcrest Hospitals Limited is seeking a skilled Sonographer to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations that support accurate medical diagnoses across diverse patient populations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in hospital settings, proficiency with ultrasound equipment, and strong collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, obtain informed consent, and ensure comfort and safety.
- Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment to capture optimal images of organs, tissues, and blood flow.
- Conduct scans of abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, cardiac, musculoskeletal, and small-parts structures following established protocols.
- Review, annotate, and document images for radiologists or referring clinicians, maintaining accurate patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to discuss findings, assist in interventional procedures, and maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards.
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field from an accredited program.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification by ARDMS or equivalent in at least one specialty (e.g., Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular).
- Current BLS/CPR certification and state licensure if required.
- 4–5 years of clinical sonography experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Proficiency with ultrasound machines (GE, Philips, Siemens), PACS, and EHR systems.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Male candidates residing in or around Victoria Island.
