Job Description

Dungarvin, a mission-driven provider of support services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is hiring a Staff Accountant to support cash management and corporate accounting operations. This remote role focuses on daily cash activity, banking relationships, and month-end close while helping ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple entities.

Compensation: $62,000/year (fixed rate)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process intercompany invoicing, including vehicle billings, computer leases, bank charges, network fees, and wireless cards
  • Prepare and post recurring journal entries and support general ledger accuracy
  • Reconcile assigned bank accounts and assist with daily cash management activities
  • Support month-end close, including accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Maintain subsidiary ledgers in alignment with the accounting close calendar
  • Prepare sales and use tax reports and assist with state-specific reporting
  • Support rent certificates, cost report reclassifications, and cash projections as assigned
  • Complete additional accounting and administrative tasks to support the finance team

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or
  2. Associate’s degree with at least 2 years of accounting or related experience
  • Technical skills:
  1. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Accounting knowledge:
  1. Understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, invoicing, and general ledger processes
  • Work style:
  1. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail
