A reputable Oil & Gas company is currently seeking a skilled Technical Assistant to provide vital technical and administrative support to the General Manager, Engineering. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and analytical skills, with a background in marine or mechanical engineering. This role involves coordinating technical operations, managing documentation, and ensuring maintenance schedules and compliance standards are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and administrative support to the General Manager, Engineering.
- Manage inventory, maintenance records, and the procurement of engineering supplies.
- Coordinate vessel maintenance schedules, dry docking, and regulatory inspections.
- Prepare and maintain marine databases, vessel specifications, and project documentation.
- Monitor compliance with all relevant survey certificates and documentation standards.
Requirements:
- HND/B.Sc. in Marine or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in technical or administrative support within the oil and gas or marine sector.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (VBA is an advantage), and Power BI.
- Basic understanding of CAD/SolidWorks and programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
