Job Description
A Technical Manager is required to oversee end-to-end technical operations for mall and residential facilities. The role focuses on ensuring efficient maintenance, safe operations, regulatory compliance, and effective cost control across all engineering, utilities, and facility services.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily technical operations, utilities management, manpower coordination, and security services across facilities
- Manage vendors and contractors, including supervision of service delivery, bill certification, and cost negotiations
- Maintain and monitor electrical systems such as HT/LT panels, diesel generators, transformers, and associated infrastructure
- Supervise HVAC systems including chillers, VRV, AHU, and FAU to ensure optimal performance
- Ensure full functionality of fire safety systems, CCTV, access control systems, and Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Monitor plumbing systems, STP/WTP, refrigeration units, cold rooms, and kitchen extraction systems
- Conduct regular energy audits, manage diesel procurement, and implement measures to reduce operating and maintenance costs
- Liaise with local authorities and power utility providers to ensure statutory compliance, approvals, and inspections
Performance Measures
- Adherence to approved operational and maintenance budgets
- Timely response and resolution of technical faults
- Measurable reduction in operational and maintenance expenses
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing technical operations in malls or large retail facilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and external service providers
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
