Technical Production Manager (Events)

Job Description

Strivo Labs is seeking a highly skilled and detail-driven Technical Production Manager (Events) to lead the technical planning and execution of live events and productions. This role is critical to delivering world-class experiences across conferences, concerts, corporate events, and brand activations, ensuring seamless integration of audiovisuals, staging, lighting, rigging, and technical operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical production for events, conferences, concerts, and live activations
• Develop and manage technical plans, cue sheets, equipment inventories, and production documentation
• Supervise setup, rehearsals, live show operations, and post-event breakdown

Equipment & Vendor Management

• Oversee sound, lighting, LED displays, staging, rigging, and power distribution systems
• Coordinate with technical vendors to ensure timely delivery and high-quality service
• Manage equipment maintenance, safety checks, troubleshooting, and risk mitigation
• Production Management & Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with event, creative, and production teams to align technical requirements with creative vision
• Conduct site visits, technical assessments, and pre-production planning sessions
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and performance requirements
• Team Leadership & On-Site Supervision
• Lead and supervise technical crews, freelancers, and on-site technicians
• Provide clear direction, training, and performance oversight
• Ensure seamless technical coordination and rapid issue resolution during live events

• Requirements
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in technical event production
• Strong expertise in audio engineering, lighting systems, LED operations, rigging, staging, and event technologies
• Proven ability to manage large-scale productions and multiple events simultaneously
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and on-the-spot decision-making skills
• Strong planning, organizational, and communication abilities
