Halr is seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to craft intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging digital experiences for a client-facing platform. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless user interaction across web and mobile platforms. This is a fully remote contract position with flexible hours and a competitive hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design user interfaces for web and mobile platforms, from wireframes to polished mockups.
  • Translate business and user needs into clean, functional design solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
  • Build and maintain design systems, brand guidelines, and component libraries.
  • Conduct usability testing and integrate feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet accessibility and responsive design standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles and interaction design practices.
  • Experience designing responsive web interfaces with accessibility compliance (WCAG).
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS for effective developer collaboration.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently in a remote setup.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background designing for startups or SaaS platforms.
  • Experience with interactive prototyping and user research.
  • Knowledge of UX writing, content hierarchy, or visual storytelling.
  • Familiarity with tools like Notion, Miro, or Jira.
