Job Description
A growing marketing and community-focused brand is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Content Creator to support the production and distribution of short-form and long-form video content. This role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, social media content, and building engaged online communities through video.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and publish high-quality video content across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
- Produce consistent talking-head videos from raw ideas, outlines, or recordings
- Develop UGC-style content that feels native to each platform and is not overly produced
- Repurpose long-form content from events, talks, podcasts, and workshops into short clips and reels
- Manage video content for email and publishing platforms such as Substack and Brevo
- Collaborate with designers to develop supporting visuals and creative assets
- Contribute content ideas and angles to promote products, resources, events, and services
- Plan, maintain, and execute a weekly content calendar to ensure consistent delivery
- Deliver a monthly output of at least 20 video formats (approximately 5 videos per week), including:
- 6 talking-head videos
- 6 UGC-style videos
- 8 other formats such as event clips, explainers, highlights, or experimental content
Requirements
- Strong video editing and storytelling skills with a focus on short-form, social-first content
- Hands-on experience using mobile video editing tools such as CapCut, Instagram Edits, InShot, or similar tools
- Clear understanding of how video content performs differently across LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube
- Ability to turn rough ideas or raw footage into engaging videos with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working with feedback loops, revisions, and turnaround timelines
- Experience repurposing one core idea into multiple video formats
- Interest in marketing content, digital tools, systems, and real-world use cases
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience working with creators, founders, or media brands
- Previous involvement in covering live events or community-driven content
- Understanding of B2B marketing, product marketing, or growth-focused content
- Ability to suggest content formats based on trends rather than only following them
Employment Type: Contract, Remote (with occasional physical shoots in Lagos)
Salary Range: ₦80,000 – ₦100,000/month (approved event, studio, and physical shoot costs, including transportation, are covered separately)
