Job Description
A reputable engineering firm is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Virtual Accountant to join its remote finance team. This role involves handling day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and providing financial insights to support decision-making. Candidates must be based in Nigeria and capable of working independently in a virtual setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare accurate financial reports such as income statements and balance sheets
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accounting best practices
- Provide financial recommendations based on analysis of reports and trends
- Collaborate remotely with other departments to support budgeting and financial planning
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1–3 years of professional experience in accounting or finance
- Proficient in accounting standards and compliance regulations
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a remote team
- Must have a reliable internet connection and suitable computer setup
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
- Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting
- Prior experience in virtual or remote accounting roles
