Job Description
Dangote Group is hiring a Zonal Manager to oversee its DSR Numan Operations. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with hands-on agricultural experience, especially in large-scale sugarcane farming. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving performance, managing field operations, and ensuring the implementation of best practices in crop production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all estate farm areas, coordinating field activities for optimal use of labor, materials, and equipment.
- Oversee planning and execution of cane production processes including weeding, herbicide and fertilizer application, and mechanical operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies across all field operations.
- Lead, supervise, and train farm teams to meet performance targets and operational goals.
Requirements:
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Agriculture or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
- 15–20 years of experience in the sugar industry, with at least 5 years in large-scale farm management.
- Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of budgeting, pest control, soil analysis, and resource planning.
