Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake various types of bread, including pretzels, baguettes, and multigrain options.
- Create a range of pastries and desserts, such as cookies, cakes, pies, and croissants.
- Mix and shape dough while ensuring proper oven temperatures and baking techniques.
- Decorate cakes using icings, glazes, and edible toppings for professional presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen space, adhering to food safety practices.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or similar role.
- Proficiency in using professional kitchen equipment, including mixers and dough sheeters.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and baking techniques.
- Expertise in cake decoration and pastry preparation.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a customer-focused attitude and flexibility for early morning shifts.
- Culinary school certification is an added advantage.
