Legal Officer
Job Description
Salary: ₦250,000 – ₦300,000 (net)
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Experience: Minimum of 4 years post-call
A reputable financial services company is seeking an experienced Legal Officer to handle corporate legal matters, ensure regulatory compliance, and support internal legal operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and proven experience in legal advisory roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings and liaise with external counsel.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the business and advise management accordingly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (minimum of Second Class Upper).
- Minimum of 4 years post-call experience.
- Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
