Job Overview
Fina Trust Microfinance Bank is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Head of Audit. This position is responsible for overseeing the internal audit function, ensuring effective governance, risk management, and compliance across the organization. The ideal candidate will have significant banking experience, strong leadership skills, and a solid understanding of regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive internal audit strategy and annual audit plan.
- Lead and manage the internal audit team, ensuring continuous professional growth and high performance.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement targeted audit procedures across financial, operational, and compliance areas.
- Present audit findings and risk mitigation recommendations to senior management and the Board Audit Committee.
- Foster strong collaboration with departments such as risk, legal, and compliance to enhance the organization’s risk management framework.
Job Requirements
- B.Sc or M.Sc in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant internal audit experience, with at least 4-5 years in a managerial role.
- Banking industry experience is mandatory.
- Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CIA) is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of CBN guidelines, IFRS, and Risk-based Auditing.
