Job Description
Lily Hospitals Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading private healthcare providers, is currently hiring a qualified Optometrist to join its medical team in Port Harcourt. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in optometric practice, good communication skills, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to detect vision problems and eye diseases.
- Prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses and provide vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation if required.
- Counsel patients on proper eye care and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and proper patient management.
Job Requirements:
- A Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment.
- Active membership in the Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA) or Optometry and Dispensing Optician Board of Nigeria (O.D.O.B.N).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and people management skills.
