Job Description
St Luke’s Hospital, a reputable healthcare institution in Asaba, Delta State, is seeking a qualified Medical Officer to support patient care under the guidance of a Consultant Family Physician. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in both inpatient and outpatient services, contributing to clinical decision-making and ensuring quality care in accordance with the hospital’s medical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily management and monitoring of patients under the supervision of a consultant.
- Conduct patient reviews, including initial assessments, diagnoses, and follow-up care plans.
- Provide medical cover for routine and emergency situations to support continuous care delivery.
- Document patient health reports and discharge summaries accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with consultants, other medical staff, and patients’ caregivers.
Job Requirements:
- M.B.B.S degree or equivalent, with valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
- NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter is mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-NYSC experience in general medicine.
- Strong clinical judgment, time management, and organizational skills.
- Candidates must reside in Asaba or be willing to relocate.
- Computer literacy and Primaries in Family Medicine are added advantages.
