Protection Manager at Premiere Urgence Internationale (PUI)

Job Description

Premiere Urgence Internationale (PUI), an international humanitarian organization, is seeking an experienced Protection Manager to oversee protection activities across Borno, Katsina, and Zamfara States. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a multisectoral lifesaving program targeting both Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and host communities. This role requires a strategic leader with deep knowledge of protection issues, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders across sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, and monitor protection project activities, including work plans, budgets, and procurement.
• Supervise protection teams and ensure effective implementation of protection strategies in line with donor and organizational standards.
• Develop and manage tools for data collection, internal/external referrals, and multi-sector needs assessments.
• Coordinate with other sectors (Health, Nutrition, WASH, PSS, MEAL) to ensure strong program integration.
• Represent PUI in relevant protection working groups and build partnerships with local and international stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Law, International Relations).
• Minimum of 3–10 years of professional experience in protection or humanitarian programming.
• Strong experience in project planning, budget management, team leadership, and inter-agency coordination.
• Demonstrated knowledge of protection principles, humanitarian standards, and Nigerian context.
