Job Description

A reputable new private multi-specialist hospital in Lagos is seeking a qualified and experienced Nurse to join its medical team. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care, supporting multiple medical departments, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across various specialties.
• Administer prescribed medications, injections, and treatments.
• Monitor and report changes in patients’ conditions to relevant healthcare professionals.
• Assist physicians during examinations, medical procedures, and surgeries.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, post-treatment care, and healthy living practices.
• Coordinate referrals to other specialists or hospital departments when required.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely patient records in line with hospital and legal standards.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and perform first-line clinical interventions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse (RN) certification with a valid practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
• Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience, preferably in a multi-specialist or tertiary hospital.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work across multiple specialties.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are an advantage.

Working Conditions

• Shift-based schedules, including weekends and public holidays.
• Physical stamina for extended standing periods and patient handling.
