Job Description

A reputable oil and gas servicing company, through JEV Consulting, is seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to manage and oversee civil and structural projects that support oil and gas operations. The ideal candidate will handle the design, construction, and maintenance of industrial structures and facilities while ensuring adherence to engineering standards and safety protocols. Candidates residing in Port Harcourt or willing to relocate are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and supervise civil engineering projects such as foundations, pipelines, and structural works.
• Prepare technical specifications, detailed drawings, and project documentation.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with design standards.
• Collaborate with contractors, project teams, and stakeholders to achieve project goals and timelines.
• Perform feasibility studies, cost estimation, and structural integrity assessments.
• Support tendering processes by providing engineering input and technical evaluations.
• Enforce HSE standards throughout all phases of the project.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.Eng / B.Sc) in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 5–10 years of experience in civil/structural engineering within the oil and gas or energy sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, Civil 3D, and other engineering software.
• Membership in COREN and NSE is mandatory.
• Knowledge of engineering codes and standards such as API, ASME, BS, and ISO.
• Additional certification in HSE or Project Management is an advantage.
