Job Description
AAVA Brands Limited is seeking a results-driven Area Sales Manager to lead sales operations within an assigned territory. This role is responsible for driving primary and secondary sales performance, expanding market coverage, managing distributors and dealers, and coordinating field sales teams to achieve distribution, visibility, and revenue targets across wholesale and retail channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive growth within the assigned territory
- Achieve primary and secondary sales targets across assigned brands, wholesalers, semi-wholesalers, and retailers
- Ensure secondary sales delivery of a minimum of 60% of primary sales through effective field sales execution
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate FSS and FSE activities to improve outlet coverage, call frequency, productivity, and drop size
- Implement company policies, systems, and BTL/promotional activities within the territory
- Manage dealer relationships, stock levels, pricing compliance, FEFO practices, and objection handling
- Conduct weekly physical stock verification and reconcile accounts with key distributors and wholesalers
- Submit weekly reports to Head Office, including sales performance, dealer stock positions, pricing, and competitor activities
- Drive market development by expanding the dealer, wholesaler, and retailer network in line with brand objectives
- Ensure effective company asset utilization, including sales vans and tablets
- Maintain strict debt control in line with company policy
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in traditional sales operations
- Proven experience in an FMCG sales environment with strong understanding of structured sales processes
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND is preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with geographically dispersed teams
- Demonstrated traits of accountability, achievement orientation, curiosity, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
