Job Description

General Electric (GE) Healthcare is hiring an experienced Account Manager to drive sales growth and manage strategic healthcare accounts across Northern Nigeria. This role focuses on building long-term customer relationships, expanding existing accounts, and identifying new business opportunities within a complex, high-value healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and develop new business opportunities while growing and maintaining existing customer accounts.
  • Prepare sales proposals, quotations, and forecasts, and lead customer meetings and product demonstrations within the assigned territory.
  • Negotiate sales, close deals, and engage key decision-makers, including end users, department heads, and C-suite executives.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets through accurate forecasting, account penetration, and effective territory coverage.
  • Maintain strong post-sale relationships and identify opportunities that address immediate and long-term customer needs.
  • Develop and execute account strategies for key and competitive accounts while sharing market intelligence and field insights with internal teams.
  • Coordinate with GE Healthcare product and service teams to drive orders, growth, and strategic initiatives such as bulk purchases.
  • Ensure compliance with GE Healthcare quality, privacy, environmental health, and regulatory policies at all times.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in sales, including customer presentations, pricing, negotiation, and territory growth.
  • Prior experience in healthcare capital equipment sales or life sciences is required.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage complex sales cycles.
  • Proven experience building executive-level (CXO) relationships in healthcare or hospital environments.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Willingness to undergo a driving record check if operating a company or leased vehicle for business purposes.
