Job Description
Dungarvin, a mission-driven provider of support services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is hiring a Staff Accountant to support cash management and corporate accounting operations. This remote role focuses on daily cash activity, banking relationships, and month-end close while helping ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple entities.
Compensation: $62,000/year (fixed rate)

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process intercompany invoicing, including vehicle billings, computer leases, bank charges, network fees, and wireless cards
- Prepare and post recurring journal entries and support general ledger accuracy
- Reconcile assigned bank accounts and assist with daily cash management activities
- Support month-end close, including accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Maintain subsidiary ledgers in alignment with the accounting close calendar
- Prepare sales and use tax reports and assist with state-specific reporting
- Support rent certificates, cost report reclassifications, and cash projections as assigned
- Complete additional accounting and administrative tasks to support the finance team
Requirements / Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or
- Associate’s degree with at least 2 years of accounting or related experience
- Technical skills:
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Accounting knowledge:
- Understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, invoicing, and general ledger processes
- Work style:
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail
