Job Description
African Steel Mills Nigeria Limited, a member of the African Industries Group (AIG), is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee and coordinate all IT systems and infrastructure at its Lagos location. The role requires a proactive professional who can ensure system reliability, security, and alignment of technology operations with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, hardware, and software systems
- Ensure high system availability, data backup integrity, and cybersecurity compliance
- Support and optimize ERP systems and other business-critical applications
- Supervise IT team members and coordinate with external vendors and service providers
- Provide end-user support and promptly resolve technical issues
- Implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to improve operational efficiency
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- 5–8 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of network administration, system security, and enterprise applications
- Relevant IT certifications such as ITIL, CCNA, Microsoft certifications, or related credentials are an advantage
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
