Job Description
An experienced Software Engineer Annotator is required to evaluate, label, and enhance software engineering datasets used in Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Model (LLM) training. This role involves reviewing AI-generated code, validating outputs, and ensuring high-quality technical annotations aligned with established engineering standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Annotate and review software engineering datasets for AI and LLM training purposes
- Evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, scalability, and security
- Label datasets across tasks such as code completion, debugging, refactoring, and optimization
- Provide clear, structured feedback to improve model performance and output quality
- Ensure strict adherence to annotation guidelines and quality assurance standards
- Collaborate with AI trainers, reviewers, and data teams to maintain dataset accuracy
- Compare multiple AI-generated responses and rank them based on accuracy and usefulness
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology
- 5–8 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer
- Prior experience in data annotation, AI training, or code review processes
- Strong programming expertise in Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or Go
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms
- Ability to accurately annotate, label, and evaluate complex code datasets
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and coding best practices
- Understanding of APIs, backend systems, and modern web technologies
- Basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Large Language Models (LLMs) is an added advantage
- Experience using annotation platforms or labeling tools
