A skilled Computational Linguist is required to lead linguistic annotation initiatives that power advanced AI and NLP systems. This role focuses on designing annotation frameworks, developing clear linguistic guidelines, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality language datasets for scalable AI solutions. Ideal candidates will have strong expertise in syntax, semantics, discourse analysis, and hands-on experience managing annotation projects from pilot to production level.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement linguistic annotation schemas for complex NLP tasks such as semantic role labeling, discourse parsing, coreference resolution, and multimodal language analysis.
- Develop comprehensive annotation guidelines that ensure linguistic accuracy while maintaining usability and scalability for annotation teams.
- Collaborate with product, data science, and machine learning teams to translate business requirements into effective annotation frameworks.
- Ensure annotation schemas capture critical linguistic phenomena while remaining computationally efficient.
- Build and maintain annotation interfaces, quality assurance dashboards, and data management systems.
- Develop scripts and tools for data preprocessing, validation, and analytical reporting.
- Monitor annotation quality and continuously refine workflows to improve accuracy and consistency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics, English, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in computational linguistics, language annotation, or NLP data operations.
- Strong academic background in syntax, semantics, pragmatics, and discourse analysis.
- Proven experience building or customizing annotation tools and workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to manage annotation projects from pilot phase to large-scale production.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
