Job Description

A reputable indigenous oil and gas services company is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing, supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and cost optimisation within the oil and gas EPC environment. The role requires a results-driven professional with strong commercial acumen and the ability to deliver procurement activities within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with industry standards.

Salary: N500,000 – N800,000 per month

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to ensure cost-efficient and timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on quality standards, reliability, commercial competitiveness, and performance history
  • Lead pricing and contract negotiations to secure favourable commercial terms aligned with project objectives
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle including tendering, bid evaluation, award recommendations, and contract execution
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with company standards, HSE policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Track procurement KPIs, prepare cost reports, and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks such as cost overruns, delivery delays, and supply disruptions
  • Coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, contracts, and purchase orders

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ procurement experience within the oil and gas EPC sector or related industries
  • Proven experience using procurement and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and other project management tools
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and commercial management skills
  • Working knowledge of international sourcing, logistics, and import/export regulations within oil and gas projects
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • High attention to detail with strong compliance and process management focus
  • Experience working with IOCs, NOCs, EPC contractors, and key industry stakeholders is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; familiarity with CRM tools and software such as AutoCAD or Primavera P6 is an added advantage
